After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to gently close the stable doors on EbonyGraphix, my free horse themed layout website that first trotted onto the internet back in 2007. It’s been a long and meaningful journey, and while the site hasn’t been actively maintained for some time, its spirit has remained quietly present offering support, creativity, and a touch of nostalgia to those who love online horse games.
EbonyGraphix was created with a simple but heartfelt purpose: to help fellow players of virtual horse games find inspiration, whether through unique horse names, themed HTML layouts, or tools like the HorseIsle Untrainable calculator. Over the past 18 years, I’ve been deeply touched by the messages, feedback, and quiet appreciation from users who found joy or utility in the resources shared here. If EbonyGraphix has helped you in any way - whether by sparking creativity, enhancing your gaming experience, or simply offering a bit of fun - I’m truly grateful to have been part of that.
The landscape of online horse games has changed dramatically since EbonyGraphix first launched. Many beloved titles have come and gone, and only a handful still remain active today. It’s been fascinating to witness the evolution of these communities, and I feel fortunate to have contributed in my own small way during their heyday. Sadly the Online Horse community is no longer supporting this site and therefore it is no longer paying to keep this free content & help site online. With an average earnings of 0.08p a month from the earnings of the adverts... this does not cover even the server or domain costs let alone the SSL which I could no longer afford.
One game that continues to hold a special place in my heart is
www.mystable.co.uk. It’s a free to play and choose to pay - horse game that, like EbonyGraphix, has stood the test of time remaining online for over 18 years. If you’re looking for a new virtual stable to call home, I warmly encourage you to explore it. It offers a charming experience and continues to foster a dedicated community of horse lovers.
As for the free layouts hosted through EbonyGraphix, they are expected to remain functional until approximately 15th March 2026. However, please note that they are no longer actively supported and may cease to work earlier depending on changes in hosting or browser compatibility. I recommend saving any layouts or resources you wish to keep, as they may not be accessible in the future.
Closing this chapter is bittersweet, but it feels like the right time. EbonyGraphix was always a labour of love, and I’m proud of what it became a quiet corner of the web where creativity and community could flourish. Thank you for being part of this journey, whether you visited once or returned often. Your presence made it all worthwhile.
